Receive and file planning and building department report PB-54-16, application to amend the Official Plan for 6515 McNiven Road.

Approve Official Plan Amendment No. 102, as contained in Appendix E of planning and building department report PB-19-16, in order to redesignate 4880 Valera Road from “Neighbourhood Commercial” to “Residential – High Density”; and

Deem that section 17(21) of the Planning Act has been met; and

Instruct planning staff to prepare the necessary By-law to adopt Official Plan Amendment No.102 as contained in Appendix E of planning and building department report PB-19-16.

Approve the municipal blanket support resolution for rooftop solar FIT (Feed-in Tariff) projects attached as Appendix A to capital works report CW-46-16.

Delegate to the Director of Planning and Building, pursuant to subsection 45(1.4) of the Planning Act, the authority and discretion to permit applications for minor variance to the zoning of properties that have been the subject of a site specific amendment within two years of the by-law being amended; and

Direct the Director of Planning and Building to work with the Clerks Department to include the amendment to the City’s Delegated Authority By-law to grant the Director of Planning and Building the authority and discretion to permit minor variance applications to the zoning of properties that have been the subject of a site specific amendment within two years of the by-law being amended.

Approve the Sherwood Forest Park Revitalization Plan as the framework to guide future capital renewal to park and building infrastructure; and

Approve the removal of the designation of the future Fairview Street Road Allowance through Sherwood Forest Park.

Endorse the Halton Area Planning Partnership (HAPP): 2016 Coordinated Plan Review Joint Submissions, as contained in Appendices A to C of planning and building department report PB-71-16, in response to Phase 2 of the Province’s Coordinated Land Use Planning Review process; and

Direct the Director of Planning and Building to bring forward a consolidation of “Burlington Matters” contained in PB-71-16, in addition to any other issues relevant to the City of Burlington in a separate submission to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing prior to the October 31, 2016 deadline for submissions; and

Direct the City Clerk to forward the resolution of Council, subject to endorsement of the recommendations contained in PB-71-16, as well as staff report PB-71-16 with Appendices A to C (HAPP Joint Submissions) to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

Endorse the Halton Area Planning Partnership (HAPP) – Bill 204: Inclusionary Zoning Joint Submission, as contained in Appendix A of planning and building department report PB-75-16 in response to the Province of Ontario’s proposed updates to Ontario’s Long-Term Affordable Housing Strategy through Bill 204 – the Promoting Affordable Housing Act, 2016; and

Direct the City Clerk to forward the resolution of City Council, subject to endorsement of the recommendation contained in planning and building department report PB-75-16, and forward staff report PB-75-16 (including Appendix A) to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

Endorse in draft form and send for public consultation the Tall Building Guidelines prepared by BrookMcIlroy, dated August 2016, provided as appendix a of planning and building department report PB-77-16.
