Minutes of the meeting held January 21, 2019 were approved, as amended.

Welcome new members

Roundtable welcome and introductions.

Orientation

Lisa provided members with an orientation presentation including a review of the committee terms of reference, meeting procedure, committee/ council structure, citizen committee role, etc.

Staff update

Mandy provided a high level overview of the city's Active Aging Plan to supplement the orientation presentation,

Advocacy subcommittee update

Based on feedback received at the January meeting, the site visit summary document was revised.  Jim asked members to review the revised Site Visit Summary provided to members and be prepared to discuss/comment/edit and approve at the next meeting.

Communication subcommittee update

Deferred to the March meeting.

Roundtable / Stakeholder update

April outlined the stakeholder linkages to BSAC members:

• Tom Carrothers, Halton CARP Chapter & Burlington Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee
• Jim Young, appointee to Burlington Inclusivity Advisory Committee
• Sheila Burton, appointee to Burlington Accessibility Advisory Committee

• to confirm, appointee to Burlington Fire Department Lighthouse Project (Emergency Preparedness)
