​The Planning and Development Committee, in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, as amended, held Public Meeting No. 5 on May 2 to receive the proposed Zoning By-law amendment for 2477 Queensway Drive. Having considered the oral and written comments received from staff and delegations, the Planning and Development Committee received PB-08-17 for consideration.​

​Gary Scobie appeared before committee to provide concerns regarding the proposed development. Mr. Scobie requested that the development be twelve stories, with 65% two-three bedroom units, and be respectful to the location.

​Ron Casey appeared before committee in support of the proposed development. Mr. Casey supports the intensification of hubs in Burlington including the height of the development.

​Kelly Lagace appeared before committee against the proposed development. Ms. Lagace expressed concerns with current traffic problems at the corner of James and John Street.

Susan Goray appeared before committee against the proposed development. Ms. Goray expressed concerns with the height of the development.

​Toby Singlehurst appeared before committee to provide concerns with the proposed development. Mr. Singlehurst expressed concerns with the context of the building and parking.
